Objectives Street Educator
Educational objectives will depend on the performance of the institution to which he belongs, the sector of population served, the problems, the role that is willing to take (concept of self, view of reality, philosophy of life, involvement .. .) and so on. Of little use ideal targets when we are not prepared to believe Rados and bring to fruition what we plan on meeting table.
Taking into account the characteristics of the street educator can talk about goals that mark their identity:
- Works especially disadvantaged people, with failure to thrive with fullness in a society that rejects or ignores. - Focuses its action from the field in the neighborhood, community character, participation and development. - Acquire the social commitment of fighting for justice and equality. - Search for human progress in all its facets and not mere handouts. - Use the street as a contact and coexistence qualified, based on community resources to promote the integration standard. - Concerned with social and educational problems that affects children and young way, but looking at all those groups who have particular difficulties in access to cultural, educational, employment, recreation, relationship ... - Develop critical awareness and social commitment. - Reasons for participation. - Promote lifestyles that promote health bio-psycho-social.
From that knowledge gaps and needs and their involvement shape functions arise daily tasks. The theoretical background, experience, commitment, reflection, his conception of life .... are some of the elements that draw their qualifications as an educator.
